Law enforcement is coming down hard on alleged doctors who overprescribe opioids. In fact, in February 2019, the U.S. Attorney’s Office issued a press release stating that more than 180 medical professionals in Wisconsin were cautioned about their opioid prescribing practices. These letters were part of a broader federal effort to curtail the opioid crisis nationwide.
